Hubby went voting this morning. I was like: "I 'wants' to vote too, I care!". Then before getting out of the house and a phone call later, we find out that Georgia laws prohibit me, a Permanent Resident card as well as a Social Security card holder to vote for anything! I do know it takes being a citizen to vote for certain positions but it seems in Georgia you must be a citizen to vote, period. Good old South! Thank you for other 3 years of jury duty free life! Because that's how long it will take for me to be able to apply for citizenship. Went to Michaels to buy some yarn after that. Life is good.
Yet, another Treasury on Etsy: Fruit Punch.

Helo Marla,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and being able to relate to my situation. I loved your post so many yummy things.
Lo de Estados Unidos con la ciudadanía es como una historia de terror, espero algún día lo consigas.
ReplyDeleteUn beso
Hello Marla, awesome Blog! I'm glad to be here. Thank you for visiting Eve's House!
ReplyDeleteI'm just like yourself, can't vote here where I live because I'm not a citizen yet. Oh well, I still vote in the USA. And I think going to Michaels out beats voting anyway. heheeee
All the best!!
